Oscar Awards

The three films chosen for the Oscar Awards this year were:
  • Shrek 2
  • Grease
  • The Matrix

Every film had an award, Shrek 2 won as the best fantasy film, Grease as the best musical and The Matrix as the best action movie.
This night started when the films were seen in a big room. After that, the awards were given and finally we played some games and enjoyed a great dance!

Sports

Friday
When we arrived, Robert and Davin gave as the welcome with some games, which had different tags. We also played soccer and other games.

Saturday
We woke up having slept only two and a half hours (almost everybody!) and again Robert and Davin made us run and exercise. We were very sleepy so it seemed us as it is had been a lot of exercise! Later, after having a great breakfast and lunch we played soccer and kick-ball.

Sunday
We didn’t do exercise in the morning! That was a really good thing. Thanks to “Shaggy” –Davin– We will see what happens later.

The Castle

Villa La Raquel” is a beautiful old castle. It belongs to Guerrero family, and it was built in the 1800’s… this nice castle hides many secrets and a horrible story.
But not everything is dark in Villa La Raquel; it has an enormous garden full of colours, plants and animals.
We started the visit today after breakfast. This morning was cold. It is not a very long way and it is particularly beautiful, we walked 20 minutes to go to that fantastic building.
When we arrived Fernando gave us a game which consisted in us taking several photos of different things. In the castle we had fun and knew a new place, learning and speaking English.

Gaining weight at La Raquel!

Everybody arrived at La Raquel with the idea of being careful with what we ate, but at last we left with 1 or 2 kilos more.
The first day, we arrived and had delicious scones, toasts, coffee, milk and tea. Then we had Shepherd’s Pie and a delicious dessert for lunch. For dinner we had roast beef with vegetables. We were really “full”, but we still had to eat the cakes that were waiting for us after the campfire. We could hardly move but we didn’t care and kept on eating.
Most of us decided to control ourselves and not eat so much, but at breakfast we had pancakes and we had to eat all of them, we NEEDED to try them! The same happened during lunch and dinner. Luckily we moved a lot so we burnt some calories.
To make matter worse the last day we ate scrambled eggs, hamburgers and a wonderful dessert with merengue cream and fruit.
Eventhough we gained a lot of weight we had a lot of fun. Now, back at home, we will have to concentrate on getting fit again.
